Logs logs and more logs

Recently I went with my entire office group to a restaurant by the name Foodlink Court.
Its on the 8th floor with the bar and lounge area having a wonderful view of green Pune city.
The bar and lounge area were seperated by these logs...lots of them as you can see in the pictures above.
Below is a picture of one of the designer pots which were at the entrance.

Vasudev - a dance form

Interrupting the flowers sequence for something more interesting which I saw today.

Vasudev is a dance form performed by people believed to be the incarnation of Lord Krishna. Bedecked in a headgear of peacock feathers, they perform small dance steps  and sing songs about Lord Krishna's life in exchange for alms.
Check the small handheld musical instruments.

Locking horns

Blackbuck, Krishna Mrigam is a species of antelope found mainly in India, and also in some parts of southern Nepal, and Pakistan, though it has also been introduced in Texas and Argentina. It is one of the fastest of all terrestrial animals reaching to speeds of up to 80 km/hr and is one of the few antelopes where males and females have distinctive coloration, as the male bucks are a distinctive black and white and have long twisted horns, while females are fawn coloured with no horns.

Nilgai and Monkey

Nilgai:

The nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus), sometimes called nilgau, is an antelope, and is one of the most commonly seen wild animals of central and northern India and eastern Pakistan; it is also present in parts of southern Nepal. The mature males appear ox-like and are also known as blue bulls. The nilgai is the biggest Asian antelope.
And this one needs no introduction :)

Katraj Snake Park

I recently did a workshop to learn photography. We had a outdoor shoot session at Rajiv Gandhi Zoo, popularly known as Katraj Snake Park.
It is located in Katraj and has a variety of snake species. Other animals like white tiger, elephant, black buck, etc are also there.
It takes around 2.5 to 3 hrs to explore the zoo at a leisurely pace.

Rains

Last month we had heavy rains in Pune.
Dark clouds, strong winds, heavy rains and lots of fallen trees.
After that for almost a month no rains.
Last week, water cut was announced. Drinking water will be supplied every alternate day.
Tough times.

But luckily, the rains are back :)
Its raining for last 24 hours, not heavily but something is better than nothing.

God, let there be RAINS :)

I captured this snap in the Pune University campus last month.
